One of the most famous monuments of Paris was illuminated in red and white to mark the beginning of the Turkish countryside.

Tourists can take advantage of changes to the iconic tower until October 11.

Turkish spectators who came to see the light said it was important for relations between France and Turkey. Gorgon Taner said it highlighted the presence of Turkey in Europe.

“Europe without Turkey is something missing. So I think Turkey will be part of the European Union later in some years, because we have a very young population and dynamic, and a large market and very dynamic, Turkey is already part of Europe, “he said.

THE lighting is red and white Turkish flag but was not a half-moon lit, as had been claimed by the right wing National Front, who have protested against the light as a “waste of “public money” and a shame “a national monument, as well as Armenian pressure groups.
